Two policemen suspected of being involved in the illegal drugs trade and gun-for-hire activities were killed in a buy-bust operation in San Fabian, Pangasinan on Monday night.

The San Fabian Police Station identified the slain policemen as Senior Police Officer 3 Marlon Nicolas and Police Officer 3 Jenny Agbayani, both assigned in the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office.

A report by the local police said Nicolas and Agbayani were killed in a clash during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Cabaruan at around 8 p.m.

It said that the two policemen were listed in the criminal watchlist of Police Regional Office 1 for their alleged involvement in illegal drugs and gun-for-hire activities.

The report added that Nicolas had a "vast connection in the illegal drug trade."
