Boxer beats up 63-year-old man in Cebu

A professional boxer beat up a 63-year old man in Cebu last week, Oscar Oida reported on "24 Oras" on Friday.

The viral video of the fight on Facebook first showed the senior citizen trying to break up a fight between two boys.

The boxer supposedly had the two boys engage in a sparring match.

He shoved the elderly man, causing the latter to fall and retaliate with a punch. The boxer punched the man back, and seemingly goaded him to fight.

The senior citizen briefly left the scene, then returned with an object with which he hit the boxer.

It was then that the boxer repeatedly hit the senior citizen.

The scuffle only ended when security guards entered the fray.

According to the post, the two sides have already settled the issue with the barangay authorites.

The report, however, said the elderly man's family was stoll considering filing a case against the boxer. —Jessica Bartolome/NB, GMA News
