Mom raped, then killed together with 10-year-old son in Pampanga

A mother and her 10-year-old son were found dead inside their house in Lubao, Pampanga, a report on Unang Balita on Friday said.

The victims had stab wounds, and the mother was found to have been raped.

Investigation showed the suspect identified as Rommel Canilao is the son of the victims' laundrywoman.

Canilao was arrested by police in a follow-up operation.

He admitted to the crime and said he was drunk that time but said robbery was his only intention.

However, he was forced to stab the two victims when they woke up while he was robbing the house.

The suspect took jewelry, gadgets, and P10,000 in cash.

Canilao is under detention at the Lubao Municipal Jail and is facing charges of robbery, rape with homicide, and murder. —KG, GMA News
