Mount Bulusan in Sorsogon spewed ash anew on Friday morning, according to a report on "24 Oras" on Friday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that the volcano spewed ash for about 20 minutes covering four nearby barangays.
Rumbling sounds were heard by some residents during the ash emission.
Due to the severity of the ash fall, several residents reportedly vomited and suffered from asthma attack due to inhalation of volcanic gases. Classes were also suspended.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office distributed face masks and a medical team was deploy to the affected areas.
Phivolcs announced that Bulusan is still placed under alert level 1. Officials also closed the areas within the four-kilometer permanent danger zone. — John Ted Cordero/BAP, GMA News
