Flood destroys P1-M worth of crops in Zamboanga Sibugay

Five barangays in Zamboanga Sibugay were flooded after heavy rain poured, damaging P1-million worth of rice crops, Balitanghali reported on Monday.

The affected barangays are in the municipality of Tungawan.

Some houses were also flooded, the report said.

The local government immediately rescued residents who were trapped in their homes.

Authorities are mulling placing the municipality of Tungawan under a state of calamity. —KG, GMA News
