Authorities arrested before dawn on Tuesday a man alleged to be a supplier of illegal drugs in Valenzuela City, a report on Unang Balita said.

Valenzuela police initially had a hard time getting into a house in Brgy. Gen. T. De Leon where Ronald Isip was believed to be staying, dzBB's James Agustin reported.

The cops had to break a window on the second floor and use a ladder to get in. CCTV cameras were also spotted all around the house.

Supt. Freddie Colico, deputy chief of police for operation, said Isip was the subject of a search warrant for illegal possession of firearms and illegal drugs.

Authorities had him under surveillance for almost a month after he was pinpointed by arrested drug suspects as their source of illegal drugs.

Recovered from Isip's room were 17 sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia such as aluminum foil, lighter, and improvised tooter.

The police also recovered a .38-caliber firearm with bullets.

The suspect was brought to Valenzuela police headquarters following his arrest. —KG, GMA News
