Protesting employees allegedly set fire to 5 DLTB buses
Protesting DLTB Bus Company workers allegedly set fire to five buses parked at the company's terminal in Lemery, Batangas, GMA 7 news program "24 Oras" reported Friday.
Some three of the five buses were gutted in the fire, while two others were partially damaged. Property damage was estimated at P30 million.
There were no casualties from the incident.
Local police have arrested six suspects, majority of whom were drivers for the bus company. Investigators alleged that the suspects had set fire to the vehicles as part of the ongoing nationwide strike of DLTB-union bus drivers and conductors.
