Cellphone signals shut, no fly zone during Sinulog
Mobile phone signals will be shut down and the airspace will be declared a "no fly zone" during the procession of Sto. Niño de Cebu and Sinulog festival celebration, a report on GMA News TV's "News TV Live" said Friday.
The report said that according to the Central Visayas Police, there are no direct security threats for the feast.
However, as a precautionary measure, a temporary shutdown of cellular phone signals in the area of the feast's celebration on January 14 to 15 will be implemented.
Cebu will also be a "no fly zone" during the event. Those who wish to operate drones must secure a permit from authorities, the same report said.
