One victim of Cavite factory fire died in hospital —Gov. Remulla
One of the several victims of the fire that destroyed a factory inside the Cavite Export Processing Zone in Rosario town died in a hospital Saturday evening.
Cavite Gov. Boying Remulla told dzBB radio that Jerome Sisnaet, an employee of the House Technology Industries (HTI), died from severe burns.
Sisnaet succumbed to his injuries at 11:28 p.m. Saturday, Remulla added.
At 6 p.m. on Wednesday the fire broke out at HTI, a factory for pre-fabricated materials. It was put out only last Friday.
Scores of the firm's over 3,000 employees were rushed to a hospital due to burns. At least three of the victims were in critical condition. Sisnaet was one of them, Remulla said, adding that the two have remained in the hospital.
Meanwhile, the HTI management declared that no human remains were found inside the fire-hit factory building, after the area was scoured Saturday, the radio report said.
The report also quoted the HTI management as saying the all the over 3,000 workers in the building during the incident have been accounted for. —LBG, GMA News
