Summer heat unbearable for chickens in Kidapawan

Chickens have been dying one by one at a farm in Kidapawan, Cotabato due to the intense heat, a report on Unang Balita on Monday said.

A caretaker at the farm said out of the more than 30 chickens they used to have, only eight have survived.

The chickens at a neighbor's farm have also died one by one due to the hot temperature, the report said.

The humid weather is expected to continue this week, with the heat index for Monday expected to hit 42°C in Dagupan City, 25°C in Tuguegarao and Cebu, and 31°C in Iloilo. —KG, GMA News
