Group of more than 2 men massacred family in Bulacan —police
Police investigators have invited two persons of interest and more are being eyed for questioning for their possible involvement in the killing of a family of five in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan on Tuesday.
Superintendent Fitz Macariola, San Jose del Monte's acting police chief, declined to provide the identities and additional details on the two invited persons of interest, clarifying that they are not yet suspects in the gruesome crime.
"Masyado pa pong napakaaga para magbanggit na ang dalawang ito ay sila na ang magiging suspek," Macariola told Unang Balita in an interview.
Macariola added that they will also invite more persons of interest who are known to have access to the De Guzman's home at Block 1, Lot 8, Northridge Subdivision in Barangay Santo Cristo.
Security guard Dexter Carlos discovered the bodies of his mother-in-law Auring Dizon, 58; wife Estrella Dizon, 28; and children Donnie, 11; Ella, 7 and Dexter Jr., 1 at their home at past 8 a.m.
Macariola said the most likely motive of the suspects was rape. He said valuable things inside the victims' home were not stolen.
He said at least two of the victims could have been violated based on the initial investigation, and police believe more than two persons could have been involved in the crime.
Earlier reports said the victims were found naked.
"Marami po sila. Hindi po natin masasabi na dalawa lang po eh," the acting police chief said.
He said they are still waiting for the results of the forensic investigation.
Victoria Tulad in a report on Unang Balita said police suspect that the victims' assailants were high on drugs at the time of the incident. —ALG/KVD, GMA News
