Landslide leaves families in Antipolo homeless

Some residents in Antipolo City in Rizal were left homeless after a landslide caused by heavy rains occurred in the area.

A report by GMA News' Marisol Abdurahman on Balitanghali on Thursday, the landslide happened in a subdivision around 8 a.m. 

Residents were not able to save their belongings, the report said.

According to the residents, they have been staying in the place for a long time, but this was the first time that the landslide happened in their area.

Barangay officials are now conducting operations to avoid more erosion.

To ensure safety, they also advised the residents to evacuate the area. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
