Evacuees in Lanao del Sur worry over lack of relief goods

Evacuees in Bubong, Lanao del Sur were worried over the lack of relief goods reaching them.

Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Assemblyman Zia Alonto Adiong told GMA News TV program "Balitanghali" on Friday that, aside from the suffering in evacuation centers, the prices of commodities were also increasing.

Adiong added that there was an insufficient supply of medicines.

"Mas lalala 'yung worse na ine-expect natin na mangyayari. We have ano increasing prices of commodities, you have people who are hungry, you have people who are dying, because walang gamot. Ni simpleng diarrhea di nga nila masolusyonan," Adiong said.

There were about 3,000 individuals at the Bubong town evacuation center. In the two months of fighting in Marawi City, the center had received relief supplies some six times.
