9-hour brownout to hit Misamis Oriental on Saturday —NGCP

Residents of Misamis Oriental may need to prepare for a nine-hour power outage on Saturday, August 12, due to a scheduled maintenance activity, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines announced Thursday evening.

In a power advisory posted on its Facebook page, the NGCP said that the power interruption will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It said that the maintenance activity will test the high-voltage equipment along the Lugait-Pagawan and Lugait-Patag 69KV lines (owned & maintained by MORESCO-1) at Lugait Substation.

Specific areas that will be affected are determined by the electric cooperative, the NGCP said. —LBG/KVD, GMA News
