NPA members kill 4 soldiers in Nueva Vizcaya encounter

Four soldiers were killed in an encounter with the New People's Army (NPA) in Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya on Friday.

The slain soldiers were identified as Staff Sergeant Dexter John Tagacay, Corporal Jayson Sabado, Corporal Rusty Galan and Private First Class Abraham Lindo, members of the Philippine Army's 84th Infantry Battalion.

The clash took place at the remote Sitio Manlan in Barangay Dine.

The soldiers were conducting a combat operation in the area when they chanced upon a group of rebels.
