Zamboanga del Norte town mayor's son abducted by armed men

Police reported that the son of the mayor of Labason, Zamboanga del Norte was abducted by six armed men on Wednesday evening.

The son of Mayor Eddie Quimbo, Jade, was focibly taken by six armed men in front of his store at the market place in Barangay Poblacion in Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

The armed men were onboard a maroon van with plate number TNN 517.

In a follow up operation, the van was found abandoned along the shoreline of Sitio Ulingan, Barangay Usokan in Labason.

The police believe that the abductors took the victim and boarded a seacraft.

Police have requested the assistance of naval assets to conduct a blockade in the area. — BAP/KG, GMA News
