Police search for person of interest in Michael Angelo's case
The San Jose del Monte police has identified a person of interest in relation to the case of Michael Angelo Remecio, the young man who is believed to have been found dead in Bulacan on Tuesday.
GMA News' Jay Sabale reported on "Unang Balita" that the police has limited information on the identity of the person of interest in the case but assured that a follow-up operation was conducted on Thursday.
Sabale also reported that Remecio's friends has provided more information on the young man's whereabouts before his disappearance.
One friend had a chat with Remecio online and it seemed that he was in trouble and was asking for help and that he was at the salon of another friend.
A group of tricycle drivers proceeded to the said salon owner, but they Remecio was not there.
Remecio's girlfriend related that they last saw each other on Aug. 26 during a gathering in north Caloocan.
She was still able to communicate with Remecio until Aug. 28 but the latter did not mention if he had any problem.
After that day, she continued to communicate with Remecio. However, he no longer replied to her messages.
Genevie Remecio, Michael Angelo's mother, voiced hope that the investigation would end soon.
"Sana po mapabilis po yung ano nila sa bata... imbestigasyon. Para matapos na po. Makapagpahinga na rin po yung bata. Kasi kawawa e," she said. — BAP, GMA News
