Police suspect in kidnap-slay of casino junket operator yields — PNP AKG chief Dumlao
A police officer allegedly involved in the kidnap-slay of casino junket operator Carlos Abad Tan has surrendered to the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group.
PNP AKG director Senior Superintendent Glenn Dumlao identified the police officer as Senior Police Officer 1 Benjamin Pagarigan of the Quezon City Police District.
“May nag-surrender na, ito ay pulis din. SPO1 Benjamin Pagarigan. He is undergoing tactical interrogation,” Dumlao said at a press conference Friday.
He said they are still looking for two more suspects.
“Dalawa pa ang hinahanap. ‘Yung tipster na gambler din sa Resorts World at isa pang pulis,” he said.
He said PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa is already aware of the incident and the alleged involvement of policemen.
“Sabi niya hit them hard. Dahil nagko-concentrate kami sa internal cleansing, malungkot siya pero sabi hit them hard,” said Dumlao. — Amita Legaspi/RSJ, GMA News
