10-year-old boy drowns in Cavite river

A 10-year-old boy in Dasmariñas, Cavite drowned in a 15-foot-deep river.

In a report on Unang Balita on Tuesday, the child identified as Janjan Hizon was last seen playing at the breakwater before he fell into the river.

Authorities took almost two hours to retrieve the boy from the river.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. —Marlly Rome Bondoc/ALG, GMA News
