Town in Mt. Province records lowest temperature so far this year
Barlig town in the Mountain Province chilled with temperature hitting seven degrees Celsius (7 °C ) on January 11, the lowest so far this year.
Cold winds swept the town after days of sunny weather, "Unang Balita" reported Friday morning.
Temperatures in the whole of Mountain Province began plummeting after days of sunny weather, the report said, adding that Bontoc town's temperature also went down to 16 °C on Thursday.
Citing American-based AccuWeather forecasting services, the report said that temperatures in the province range from 7 °C to 16 °C:

- Besao-15 °C
- Sagada-16 °C
- Tadian-16 °C
- Bauko-16 °C
- Sadanga-16 °C
- Sabangan-16 °C
Mountain ranges surrounding Bontoc were foggy on Thursday, with occasional rain showers, the report said.
Moderate winds accompanied the cold weather in the Mountain Province area, forcing residents to wear thick clothes and jackets. —LBG, GMA News
