Couple killed in Antipolo ambush

A Barangay administrator and his wife were killed in an ambush in Antipolo City on Wednesday afternoon, GMA News' Jamie Santos reported on "Saksi."

Domingo Mamaril Jr. and his wife, Maribel, were shot at by a lone gunman while they were at the Circumferential Road.

Domingo stepped on the accelerator pedal, which caused the car to move forward but it turned turtle.

The child of the victims, who was with the couple at the time of the incident, said it took about an hour before her parents were rescued and brought to the hospital.

The child said Domingo, the head of a homeowners' association in their subdivision, was planning to file charges against residents who failed to pay their dues.

The child was not hurt in the incident.

Meanwhile, the Antipolo police are investigating the incident and the rescue team still has to issue a statement on the alleged delay in their response to the emergency situation. — BAP, GMA News
