Video shows moment when fatal bullet hit Halili

Clutching his chest, Tanauan City Mayor Antonio Halili stumbled a few steps to his right before eventually falling to the ground after he was fatally shot during the flag ceremony at the city hall grounds on Monday morning.

On Emil Sumangil's report on "24 Oras", video taken showed the exact moment when the bullet hit Halili and the mayor seemingly tried to steer clear of the line of fire.

"Sa akin siya humarap eh. Nakita ko na lang na hawak niya 'yung dibdib niya at nakita ko na 'yung gunshot wound," Vice Mayor Jhoanna Corona said.

Halili was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

"Pinupulsuhan ko. Wala na talagang pulso. Pagdating sa ospital ni-revive pero hindi na na-revive," said Epifanio Perez Yzon, a brother-in-law of the mayor. —NB/KG, GMA News
