Cavite placed under state of calamity —governor
Due to floods in several of its towns and damage to properties in its coastal areas, the province of Cavite has been placed under a state of calamity on Sunday afternoon.
Governor Jesus Remulla told Super Radyo dzBB that the whole province has been placed under state of calamity.

Likewise, classes in all levels, private and public schools in the province are suspended for Monday, July 23, due to floods and bad weather.
The province's coastal areas were also affected by big waves from Habagat enhanced by a series of weather disturbances.
Last Thursday, Bacoor City was declared under state of calamity due to widespread flooding, affecting 63 of its barangays. —LBG, GMA News
