Baste Duterte files COC for vice mayor of Davao City

Baste Duterte, son of President Rodrigo Duterte, on Wednesday filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for vice mayor of Davao City, according to RGMA Davao's Raul Tolibas' report on Super Radyo dzBB.

Baste will be the running-mate of his sister, incumbent Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, who is seeking re-election in the 2019 elections.

Baste, along with brother Paolo, joined Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), the newly formed regional political party of Sara, last week.

Paolo, who resigned as Davao City vice mayor in December last year, will run for congressman representing the city's first district in next year's elections.

Apart from the two siblings, former Special Assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go, who is running for senator, also joined HNP. —KBK, GMA News
