Marawi gets new classrooms through Kapuso Foundation's Rebuild Marawi project
GMA Kapuso Foundation inaugurated on Monday four classrooms as part of its Kapuso Schools' Rebuild Marawi Project in Marawi City.
The four classrooms were built at Camp Bagong Amai Pakpak Elementary School.
The said classrooms have two restrooms each, as requested by the Department of Education-Marawi since Maranao culture calls for separate restrooms for males and females.
Six more schools were also built in other areas.
This is the first structure constructed in Marawi City a year after the war with the ISIS-inspired Maute group.
GMA Kapuso Foundation partnered with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, led by the 54th Engineering Brigade, in the construction of the building.
Aside from schools, a stage was also constructed at Camp Bagong Amai Pakpak Elementary School donated by Eat Bulaga’s Dabarkads. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
