The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Sunday recovered seven bodies from a landslide-hit area in Nato, Camarines Sur.
According to a report on GMA News TV Live, the landslide was triggered by the heavy rains brought about by Tropical Depression Usman, which has weakened into a low-pressure area.
Five other people were rescued by authorities in the landslide incident.
The PCG has also deployed additional rescue teams to the town of Nabua.
In Sorsogon, the municipality of Bulan has declared a state of calamity after flooding in 10 of its barangays and landslides in several areas.
Two casualties have been reported in the town and more than 2,000 individuals are staying in evacuation centers. — Dona Magsino/BM, GMA News
