Boy dies after alleged attack by playmates in Pangasinan

An 11-year-old boy has died after he was allegedly attacked playmates in Mangaldan, Pangasinan.

According to a report by Emil Sumangil on GMA's Saksi on Tuesday, the victim was able to tell his father a few hours before he died how he was allegedly attacked by his playmates during a Christmas party in Barangay Salay on December 28.

The father, demanding justice, said his child was forcefully dragged by other kids to a dark place where he was mauled.

The victim tried to keep the incident to himself as he feared that his father would hunt down the perpetrators.

It was on January 1 that the victim developed a fever and complained of body ache, this lasted for more than a week.

The boy was brought to a hospital where he died.

Barangay officials said they will investigate the incident in coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare Department because minors are involved. — Dona Magsino/BAP, GMA News
