Cold weather destroys cabbages in Ilocos Norte

The chilly weather affecting Luzon has taken its toll on a local cabbage plantation in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, according to a report on "Balitanghali" on Wednesday.

According to the farmers, dew had drenched the crops, leaving most of them destroyed.

To keep the pests away from what was left of the crops, farmers did an early harvest and sprayed the field with pesticide. — Margaret Claire Layug/MDM, GMA News
