Grass fires hit Naga and Kidapawan

Grass fire incidents erupted in Naga City and Kidapawan City, according to a report by Bam Alegre on GMA News TV's Balitanghali on Tuesday.

In Naga City, Camarines Sur, fire sparked and spread all over a large area of grass field.

Firefighters took time to respond since the location of the fire was reported to be far away.

Investigation is still ongoing to determine what caused the fire and whether there were any people hurt.

In Kidapawan City, Cotabato, grass fire torched a rice and mangosteen field after the area experienced weeks of hot weather.

The Bureau of Fire Protection has already released a warning against the burning of dry leaves to avoid further grass fire incidents. —Kaela Malig/KG, GMA News
