Actual abduction of businessman Fajardo caught on CCTV

Authorities have obtained a CCTV footage showing the actual abduction of the businessman who used to be an assistant to slain Batangas mayor Antonio Halili, John Consulta reported on GMA News’ 24 Oras Monday.

In the CCTV footage, businessman Allan Lumbres Fajardo was seen arriving aboard his white SUV. He entered the restaurant and sat at the farthest right table.

After eight minutes, a white van arrived where 10 armed individuals with bullet proof vest, wearing bonnets, alighted at the front of the lobby.

The armed men made the security guard lie down facing the ground and seized his gun.

They roamed around the restaurant looking for Fajardo. One of the armed men approached Fajardo who was lying down on the ground.

At first, Fajardo resisted but later he was dragged forcefully by the other armed men and took him in the white van.

Fajardo was included in Philippine National Police’s  (PNP) drug matrix.

He was also the chief of Tanauan City’s mayor action group during the time of slain mayor Antonio Fajardo.

His family, who earlier offered a P1 million reward for information on his whereabouts, said they would take more legal action to bring Fajardo back.

“Iniisip po namin na mag-file ng either writ of amparo or writ of habeas data upang pong makita naming kung ano ang basehan ng PNP na isama siya sa drug matrix para hukuman na ang maghusga kung talagang karapat-dapat na siya sabihing isang kriminal o hindi,” Fajardo family’s legal counsel Ferdinand Topacio said.

The Laguna Police is still on their separate investigation into the case.

"Lahat naman ng anggulo ay tinitingnan natin. Kasama 'yung motibo na away sa negosyo,” Sta. Rosa Police chief Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Orate said.—Joviland Rita/LDF, GMA News
