2 fake NBI agents who went on shooting rampage arrested in Rizal
Two men who posed as National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents were arrested in Rodriguez, Rizal after going on a shooting rampage, scaring residents in the area.
A cell phone video showed the suspects visibly intoxicated as one of them shouted at the residents and fired a gun multiple times. The other suspect was also armed.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Melchor Agusin, Rodriguez chief of police, the suspects were wearing NBI uniform but the Bureau denied that they were their agents.
"Taga QC mga 'yan, parang may humahawak sa kanilang pulitiko," Agusin said.
Police recovered 23 bullet shells following the rampage of the suspects, who were found to be visiting the area for a drinking session.
After the arrest, police obtained a search warrant to raid a nearby house frequented by the suspects. They recovered an improvised firearm, a shotgun, and ammunition. —LDF, GMA News
