Susan Yap proclaimed as Tarlac gov, Charlie Cojuangco as congressman

Tarlac Governor Susan Yap will have a second term after she was proclaimed winner of the gubernatorial post election in the province, according to a report of Rida Reyes.

Charlie Cojuangco, meanwhile, was proclaimed representative of the 1st district of Tarlac.

The two, who both ran unopposed, were proclaimed winners at 12 a.m. Tuesday.

The provincial board of canvassers adjourned at 3 a.m. Tuesday and is set to resume counting votes past 7 a.m.

Only three out of 17 municipalities were able to transmit election results successfully at the provincial level as of past 7 a.m. Tuesday. These are the municipalities of Anao, Capas, and Moncada.

The transparency server results, however, show results for four municipalities, the three municipalities earlier mentioned plus La Paz.

Of the 17 municipalities and one city in Tarlac province, 13 municipalities had a problem with their SD cards, which caused the delay in the transmission of results. —KG, GMA News
