Fire hits establishment in Lucena City, Quezon

A fire of still undetermined origin broke out late afternoon on Sunday in Lucena City in Quezon province.

As of past 5 p.m., the fire continued to spread in the city's Purok Central Red V area.

Firefighters said the fire that destroyed residential and business establishments reached the 4th alarm before it was put out at past 6 p.m.

An initial fire information showed that the fire started at about 5 p.m. and spread quickly.

Residents witnessed firefighters scramble to contain the fire, moments after it broke out.

The Bureau of Fire Protection office in Lucena is investigating the cause of the fire and the cost of damage to property in its wake. —LBG, GMA News
