2 killed in Camarines Sur ambulance crash
Two victims were killed in Camarines Sur's Ocampo town when the ambulance they were on crashed along the town highway, GMA News' Cesar Apolinario reported Sunday on 24 Oras Weekend.
Ambulance driver Ray dela Rama was rushing pregnant patient Hanelen Mendoza to hospital when dela Rama allegedly lost control of the vehicle.
Nurse Janice Eva and Midwife Rhodara Labanon where thrown from the ambulance and where killed.
"Nagkaroon ng lost control ng kanyang manebela at saka bumangga doon sa poste ng street light, at bumangga pa doon sa malaking punong kahoy ng narra," explaind Ocampo Police Public Information Officer Police Master Sargeant Melchor Antioquia.
Mendoza survived the crash, while two other ambulance passengers were injured, one of them critically.
Dela Rama could face Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide and Multiple Physical Injuries charges. — DVM, GMA News
