The man allegedly involved in the cases of missing Grab drivers and vehicular accident in Manila was killed in a shootout as he resisted arrest, according to the report of Jamie Santos on GMA News' Saksi on Wednesday.

Personnel from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group  found the suspect, Frankie Serrano, was hiding in Barangay Santol in Silang town Cavite and by 5 p.m. on Wednesday served a warrant.

Serrano is identified as the suspect in the cases of two missing Grab drivers and the driver of a car that hit several vehicles in Manila.

CIDG 4A Chief Lawrence Cajipe related that when the police arrived at the site Serrano was uncooperative and even used his live in partner as a human shield.

After the police rescued Serrano's live in partner, a shootout ensued after he fired at them and tried to escape. Serrano was killed in the incident.

The police recovered a firearm and grenade at the crime scene and are in the process of verifying the ownership of the vehicles found in his house.

Serrano was tagged in several incidents, including shooting incidents in Cavite in May.

It was also found that he used a stolen vehicle, which was used by Grab driver Lawrence Fajardo, who is still missing at this time.

Serrano is also tagged in the case of another missing Grab driver, Manuel Alegria Almodin.

The police will continue to investigate the cases that Serrano is allegedly involved in, despite his death in the shoot out. — BAP, GMA News
