P2M worth of shabu seized in Dumaguete; drug suspect nabbed
Around P2 million worth of suspected shabu was seized during an anti-illegal drugs operation by operatives from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on Monday night.
Authorities on Tuesday said the operation was conducted in a housing project in Barangay Cadawinonan which resulted in the arrest of one Jerick Calugcugan, 25.
The suspect was the one who had allegedly transacted with the poseur buyer.

Seized during the operation were one transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; one Ziplock plastic containing suspected shabu; P1,000 used as buy-bust money; one improvised tooter; two pieces disposable lighter; one digital calculator; two packs of empty plastic sachets; and one Samsung mobile phone.
The evidence were brought to the crime laboratory for proper disposition.
Calugcugan will be charged for violating Sections 5, 11 and 12 of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. —KG, GMA News
