16-yr-old dead after being shot in the head in Bacolod; man stabbed dead in Baguio
Two people got killed, one shot in the head and another stabbed, in separate brawls in Bacolod City and Baguio City.
A report on 24 Oras said the first incident happened at Barangay Handumanan when the group of victim John Martin got into a scuffle with members of a rival gang.
Martin was shot dead by a certain Jason Jay Gamarcha who remains at large.
"Mahal ka namin. Alam mo kung gaano ka namin kamahal. Mas okay na yung nakapagpahinga ka na kasi sumisigaw ka na nahihirapan ka na," said the victim's mother.
Two suspects have been arrested and could possibly face murder charges.
In Baguio City, another brawl resulted in three men getting stabbed. One of the injured succumbed to his stab wounds.
The brawl was caught on CCTV camera. In the footage, suspect Ruben Feliciano, in a white jacket and who was accompanied by a woman, could be seen pushing another guy in a black jacket who seemed to have confronted them.
The two men engaged in a fist fight, and two of the companions of the man in a black jacket tried to join in the brawl.
Feliciano eventually managed to escape. But three men emerged with stab wounds, and one of them, James Paul Papay, died in the hospital from internal bleeding.
His companions, Michael Bañaga and Liam Floyd Marrero, remained under observation.
Feliciano was later arrested and confessed to being drunk at the time of the incident. — MDM, GMA News
