A passenger vessel carrying 149 people and filled with 3,200 liters of diesel listed while docked on Camotes Island in Cebu on Saturday afternoon.

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-7 Spokesperson Lieutenant JG Michael Encin said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB that the vessel, MV Micah Marie-8, had just arrived at the island's Consuelo Port from Danao, Cebu when the incident happened around 2 p.m.

Encin said all passengers and crew have been brought to safety. He said the vessel's fuel is already being siphoned off.

There are no signs yet of any oil spill, but they would still be putting up oil spill booms tonight just to be sure, according to the PCG official.

Encin said a rolling cargo inside the vessel got "out of balance" causing the entire vessel to list. Three other vehicles were inside the vessel when the incident happened. — MDM, GMA News
