Red Cross reports power outages, damaged buildings after Cotabato quake
Power outages, damage in infrastructure and a person who fainted were reported moments after a 6.6-magnitude earthquake hit Tulunan, Cotabato on Tuesday morning, according to the the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
Power outages were experienced in General Santos City, Polomok in South Cotabato, Ledesma Street in Sultan Kudarat, and Carmen in North Cotabato, the PRC said.
In North Cotabato, a wall collapsed in Colegio de Kidapawan, while the Gaisano Grand Mall of Digos in Davao del Sur was reportedly damaged due to the earthquake.
The PRC also reported that a person fainted during the earthquake in General Santos City. The person has already been assisted by the organization.
Ambulances, welfare desks, and Search-and-Rescue Teams from thePRC have been deployed to the affected areas to provide help.
A magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck Tulunan, Cotabato on Tuesday morning. Its epicenter was located in Tulunan.
