In a Cebu cemetery, residents do everything among the dead, including giving birth
The local government of Carreta in Cebu on Thursday ordered clearing operations in preparation for Undas 2019.
According to Jonathan Andal's report on "24 Oras," almost 60 families reside inside the Carreta Catholic Cemetery.
Some mausoleums were transformed into kitchens, comfort rooms, bedrooms and even a birthing place.
According to the residents, their stay, however, is permitted by the owners of the mausoleum, which explains their own electric bills.
But Jesus Desuyo, caretaker of the Carreta Catholic Cemetery, said living inside the cemetery is prohibited.
Meanwhile, residents refuse to leave in the plae they considered home without a court order. —Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
