1 dead, 2 injured after SUV plows through pedestrians in Surigao City

A 50-year-old teacher died while two others, including the driver, were injured after a sport utility vehicle (SUV) plowed into several pedestrians in Surigao City.

According to a Sunday report by Athena Imperial on 24 Oras Weekend, Domenico Larong lost control of his vehicle, causing it to lurch forward straight into a pathway in front of a school.

Lucita Josue was declared dead on arrival when she was rushed to hospital.

Another pedestrian, Arhil Paglinawan, was also hurt in the crash.

The driver was likewise injured when his car tipped over on its side after crashing into the victims. He was in stable condition at a hospital.
