Baguio temperature drops to lowest since start of Amihan season —PAGASA

After dropping to 11.4 degrees Celsius on early Saturday morning, the temperature of the summer capital Baguio City was declared by PAGASA as the lowest ever since the start of the Amihan season, according to a 24 Oras Weekend report on Saturday.

The state weather bureau explained that colder weather in the country was an effect of the Amihan or "Easterlies," which greatly affected a huge part of Luzon.

PAGASA announced that Luzon is set to experience colder temperatures because of the "Easterlies" on Sunday.

The Amihan is also set to bring weak and scattered rain showers in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga Mountain Province, Ifugao and Aurora.

Meanwhile, the Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Panay Island, Romblon and Oriental Mindoro will experience thunderstorms and dark skies due to the tail-end of a cold front on Sunday. — MDM, GMA News
