She was on the beach in Barangay Libaong when the incident took place at around noon time on Tuesday, January 21.

Olya told police a man who was selling jewelry on the beach approached and started a conversation with her.

She asked the man to accompany her to buy a towel since she was not familiar in the place.

But the man brought her to a slightly lonely spot filled with trees and choked her until she fell unconscious.

When she regained consciousness, she had no underwear and shorts.

She asked helped from bystanders who called a tourist police who brought her to the Panglao Station to report the incident.

She was brought to Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital for a medical check-up to determine if she was indeed raped.
