Doctor kidnapped in Jolo, Sulu, says military

A medical doctor was abducted by four armed men in Barangay Walled City in Jolo, Sulu on Tuesday evening, according to WestMinCom Commander Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana.

Dr. Daniel G Moreno was abducted by four unidentified men at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Initial investigation showed that the abductors took Moreno towards the Sta Nina Rasul Complex and headed further towards KM3 Indanan, Sulu while onboard a maroon Tamaraw FX.

Sobejana said pursuit operations was launched immediately while special units are ready for rescue operations. — with Anna Felicia Bajo/BAP, GMA News
