More LGUs declare state of calamity due to COVID-19
More local government units (LGUs) declared a state of calamity on Monday amid the threat of further transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The provincial government of Cavite declared a state of calamity under Resolution 1437-2020, as posted by Vice Governor Jolo Revilla on Facebook.
Meanwhile, in its Facebook page, the city government of Muntinlupa announced the declaration, explaining the decision is to enable the local government unit to access quick response fund.
Also, the Porac Public Information Office said the Pampanga town is placed under a state of calamity.
Mandaluyong City also placed its area under state of calamity, through Ordinance No. 759, due to the spread of COVID-19.
All city departments were directed to take necessary efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

The local governments of Valenzuela and Paranaque have also declared their cities under a state of calamity.

Among the Metro Manila cities placed under state of calamity on Sunday were:
- City of Manila,
- San Juan City,
- Las Piñas City,
- Pasay City, and
