Biñan's COVID-19 patient 2 thanks health workers after recovery
After her recovery, Biñan, Laguna's coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patient 2 thanked the country's medical workers for being at the frontline in the fight against the illness.
According to a 24 Oras report by John Consulta on Monday, to celebrate her recovery, the medical staff and the local government of Biñan waited for the patient along the hospital's hallway and greeted her with a warm round of applause.
Patient 2, who is the second COVID-19 survivor in the town, said prayers, love from her loved ones and the support of the health care workers and the LGU of Biñan were keys to her recovery.
“Maraming maraming salamat po. Kaya po ako gumaling dahil sa inyo, sa tulong po ninyong lahat ng pamilya ko na tinatawagan ako palagi at kinakamusta ako, maraming maraming salamat sa inyo,” she said.
She also urged those who had the disease to never lose hope because it was not a death sentence.
"'Yong mga sakit na katulad ko na positive, gagaling din po kayo basta magdasal lang tayo. Magtulungan tayo na magpagaling," she said.
"May gumagaling po talaga dito sa sakit na 'to basta lahat po ng sinasabi ng doktor, gawin natin," she added.
As of Monday, Biñan had five confirmed cases of COVID-19.
