Bacoor, Cavite barangay moments away before total lockdown

Barangay Molino III in Bacoor, Cavite is less than an hour away from being placed under total lockdown amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat.

According to John Consulta's Thursday report on 24 Oras, the barangay has recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the whole city at 12 out of 66.

At 12:01 a.m. of Friday, 23,000 households within the barangay will be prohibited from leaving their houses until April 30.

We want to contain the barangay. Ayaw na natin mag-spread ito at lumalala," she added.

Only one representative of each family will be allowed to shop for supplies at the market within the barangay once a week using a new quarantine pass.

Senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women will no longer be allowed to leave their houses.

The local government unit said it has already started distributing another batch of aid for the residents.

"Masakit po itong deklarasyon na ito para sa akin, but we have to flatten the curve," she added.

According to the report, help is expected from the military once the lockdown is in place.
