Cavite curfew to remain even after lifting of quarantine, Remulla says
The province of Cavite will continue to implement curfew hours even after the lifting of the enhanced community quarantine, Governor Jonvic Remulla said Thursday.
Remulla earlier bared that a "calibrated" quarantine would be enforced in the province beginning May 1.
"Ngayon nailatag na natin ang ating plano, kakailanganin namin ang inyong kooperasyon sa mga susunod kapag naiingat na ang enhanced community quarantine," Remulla said in a live briefing.
"Number one, tuloy pa rin ang curfew hours," he added.
Residents 12 years old and below are not allowed to go out of their house from 6 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Residents aged 13 to 18 have curfew hours at 7 p.m., unless authorized by their school or workplace. If self-employed, the resident must obtain an authorization from the city or municipal hall.
Residents aged 18 and above, meanwhile, have curfew hours at 10 p.m., unless authorized by their work, city, or municipal hall.
According to Remulla, residents are still prohibited from drinking alcoholic beverages in public places amid the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The governor called on the cooperation of the residents.
