Ilocos Sur governor wants 3 comics declared persona non grata

Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Luis Singson said he wants comedians Long Mejia, Dagul Pastrana, and Gene Padilla declared persona non grata in the province over alleged quarantine protocol violations.

In a Tuesday “24 Oras” report, Singson said the three comedians committed several violations.

“The unsanctioned visit and social activities… without proper coordination with the LGU and with no legitimate purpose is an example of the awful disregard of the existing quarantine rules,” he said.

“Their refusal to undergo quarantine checkpoint protocols, evading checkpoint personnel is another manifestation of a violation,” Singson added.

The governor called on the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to ban the comedians from the province.
