Nurse killed in Palawan ambulance attack
A nurse was killed when an ambulance of Rescue 165 of the local government of Palawan was attacked by armed men at past 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Super Radyo Palawan's Junfred Calamba reported on Super Radyo dzBB that the ambuscade took place in Brangay Dumarao, Roxas town.
Rey Christopher Magbanua, program manager of Palawan's Rescue 165, identified the fatality as Al Jerome Bernadro.
Magbanua said that the ambulance was on its way back to Dumarag, Palawan when it was waylaid by unidentified armed attackers.
One responder, who was not identified, was wounded in the attack, Magbanua said, adding that three people were onboard the medical vehicle including the driver.
Authorities are investigating for the identities of the attackers, and the motive for the crime. —LBG, GMA News
